Recent polling shows a narrow Democratic edge among white women on the generic congressional ballot, driven by a widening gender gap and softening support for Republican candidates amid President Trump's declining approval ratings in this demographic. Surveys from summer 2026, including those tracking moderate white women, indicate Democrats leading by single digits or more in some samples, though many respondents remain undecided or plan to skip voting. Historical Republican advantages among white women persist in some data, but economic concerns, turnout patterns, and campaign messaging on key issues could shift preferences before November. Trader consensus reflects this uncertainty, pricing the contest near even as both parties compete for swing voters in battleground areas.
