The FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind opens the 2026 FedEx Cup playoffs with a 70-player field featuring numerous in-form contenders, including recent winners and consistent ball-strikers such as Ludvig Åberg, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Sam Burns. Pre-tournament previews highlight the course’s premium on accuracy off the tee and iron play amid expected high temperatures, creating conditions where any of the listed players can post low rounds early. With no second-round cut and the field evenly matched in recent form and course history, trader consensus reflects broad parity, as small differences in putting or scrambling can shift second-round leadership among this deep group of competitors.
