Atlético Ottawa enters the September 5 Canadian Premier League matchup as clear favorites, reflecting their third-place standing with 33 points from 20 games and a recent surge that includes multiple August wins under new coach Gustavo Leal. Pacific FC, rooted in last place with just one victory in 18 matches and the league’s worst goal difference, faces a steep challenge on the road against a side posting strong home results and higher expected goal metrics. Ottawa’s attacking depth and defensive organization contrast with Pacific’s ongoing struggles for consistency and clean sheets, while the Tridents’ limited recent form offers little momentum. Trader consensus around the 60% implied probability for an Ottawa win aligns with these standings gaps and situational edges, though Pacific retains slim upset potential in a league where defensive lapses can shift outcomes quickly.
