Stephen Bunting holds a narrow 52% implied probability edge over Mal Cuming in this World Series of Darts opener, reflecting the Englishman's stronger PDC ranking, recent Premier League successes, and proven averages in major events. Competitive balance stems from Cuming's status as a seasoned Australian campaigner with deep local support and familiarity on regional surfaces, creating realistic upset potential in an early-round international fixture. Recent form shows Bunting maintaining consistency through 2026 campaigns while Cuming leverages home-soil momentum typical of World Series legs. Late adjustments in checkout efficiency, 180 counts, or minor injury concerns could quickly shift trader consensus either direction.
