Canada enters the 2026 IIHF World Championship as the clear market leader at 50.5% implied probability, buoyed by a deep roster featuring NHL standouts such as Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, and Sidney Crosby despite widespread absences from the Stanley Cup playoffs. Switzerland’s 14.5% share reflects strong home-ice form and recent tournament depth, including an early victory over the United States. Finland’s 15.5% positioning stems from its trademark defensive structure and consistent medal contention, while Sweden and the U.S. trail at 7.5% and 6.5% amid mixed opening results. Early group-stage outcomes and roster health continue to shape trader consensus around these probabilities.
