The Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C. marks IndyCar’s first visit to a new street circuit on the National Mall, with qualifying set for August 22. The bunched probabilities around 49.5% for dozens of drivers reflect the complete lack of prior on-track data at this venue, leaving setup, tire management, and layout-specific lines as major unknowns. Reigning champion Alex Palou and strong Team Penske entries like David Malukas enter with solid season form and manufacturer support, yet the street-course format and expected track evolution during sessions allow multiple midfield and front-running cars to remain viable for the top starting spot. Historical patterns on debut street circuits show qualifying often hinges on late-session improvements rather than pre-event favorites, sustaining the broad market distribution until official practice begins.

If the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington is canceled or rescheduled to a date 7 days after the original scheduled date, this market will resolve to "Other."
This market will resolve in favor of the driver who is officially recognized by IndyCar as having set the fastest time during the qualifying session for the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington. The market will be settled based on IndyCar's official qualifying results, regardless of any subsequent penalties, disqualifications, or changes to the starting grid.
For example, if a driver sets the fastest qualifying time but later receives a grid penalty or is moved down the starting order, the market will still resolve to "Yes" for that driver.
The resolution source will be the official IndyCar website (indycar.com) and a consensus of credible sports news reporting.
