Recent polling averages show Democratic challenger Graham Platner holding a consistent lead over incumbent Republican Senator Susan Collins in general election matchups for Maine's U.S. Senate seat. This stems from primary developments in which Governor Janet Mills suspended her Democratic campaign in late April, positioning Platner as the presumptive nominee ahead of the June 9 primary. Multiple surveys, including those from Emerson College and the Maine People's Resource Center, place Platner ahead by 6 to 9 points, reflecting Maine's recent Democratic tilt in presidential voting and voter support for the challenger's profile. Prediction market pricing reflects this polling edge while noting the race's competitiveness, with five months remaining before November and room for shifts from campaign dynamics or turnout.

A candidate shall be considered to represent a party in the event that he or she is the nominee of the party in question. Candidates other than the Democratic or Republican nominee (e.g., Greens, Libertarian, independent) may be added at a later date.
Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party.
The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources call the race for the same candidate. If all three sources haven’t called the race in this state for the same candidate, this market will resolve based on the official certification.
