Bruce Blakeman, the Republican nominee and Nassau County executive, holds a strong position in the county for the 2026 New York gubernatorial election due to his local incumbency and name recognition. Recent Siena polling from June showed him ahead of Democratic incumbent Kathy Hochul by 5 points among Nassau voters, even as she maintained a double-digit statewide lead. Blakeman's focus on public safety, immigration enforcement, and criticism of state policies has resonated in the suburban county, where he won reelection as executive by double digits in 2025. Hochul trails there despite broader Democratic advantages in New York, with the race tightening modestly in later surveys but no major shifts reported in Nassau-specific sentiment. Trader consensus reflects these local dynamics ahead of the November vote.

The candidates will be primarily ranked by the number of valid votes received in the specified election. If two or more candidates are tied on valid votes, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the candidate last names. This market will resolve to the candidate that occupies the highest finishing position after applying this ranking.
Candidates who are listed on multiple ballot lines under New York's fusion voting system will have their vote totals determined based on the sum of all votes for that candidate.
If the results of the election in the specified county are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, this market will resolve to "Other."
This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of New York, including the New York State Board of Elections and the government of Nassau County.
