Ju Wenjun enters Norway Chess Women 2026 as the clear frontrunner at 36 percent implied probability, buoyed by her status as reigning Women’s World Champion and her victory in the tournament’s inaugural 2024 edition. Her recent classical and rapid results, including a second straight Women’s Speed Chess Championship title, underscore consistent form against elite opposition. Zhu Jiner and Bibisara Assaubayeva sit close behind at 24 and 23 percent, respectively, reflecting their strong showings in the just-completed 2026 Women’s Candidates, where both demonstrated sharp tactical play and high FIDE ratings near 2520. Anna Muzychuk at 19 percent and Humpy Koneru at 17 percent bring veteran experience and solid head-to-head records, while Divya Deshmukh’s 7.5 percent captures her rising trajectory as a first-time participant. The tight spread among the top four highlights how recent Candidates momentum and classical depth will shape the six-player round-robin starting May 25.
