The Las Vegas Raiders' Week 1 starting quarterback market reflects head coach Klint Kubiak's consistent designation of Kirk Cousins as the clear QB1 throughout training camp and the preseason. Cousins, a four-time Pro Bowler who previously worked with Kubiak in Minnesota, signed as a veteran bridge option ahead of the draft and has taken the majority of first-team reps while leading early scoring drives in limited preseason action. The No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza has impressed with his arm talent and mobility in his debut but remains positioned behind Cousins to continue developing under center in Kubiak's system, with Aidan O'Connell further down the depth chart. Trader consensus aligns with this plan, though a Cousins injury or dramatic Mendoza surge could still shift the outcome before the opener against the Dolphins.

In the event two listed quarterbacks take the field on the first offensive play of the Las Vegas Raiders’ Week 1 game, this market will resolve in favor of the player directly receiving the snap. If neither listed quarterback directly receives the snap, this market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically.
If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or no official starter has taken the field within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL and/or the Las Vegas Raiders; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
