Jannik Sinner, the world No. 1, arrives in this Italian Open semifinal with an unmatched clay-court surge, extending a 32-match Masters 1000 winning streak after straight-set victories in Monte Carlo and Madrid. His enhanced movement, heavy topspin, and mental resilience on the slower red dirt have positioned him as the dominant force heading into the matchup. Daniil Medvedev, a 2023 Rome champion, reached the final four with a gritty three-set win over Martin Landaluce but trails 9-7 in the head-to-head and has shown inconsistency on clay this spring. Recent fatigue concerns for Sinner and potential rain delays add variables, yet his recent dominance and home support shape the prevailing trader view of a strong favorite.
