Multiple songs trade near 50% implied probability for the number two spot on the US Spotify chart ending August 28, underscoring a tightly contested race with no dominant frontrunner. Olivia Rodrigo's "Stupid Song" and "the cure," alongside recent releases from Steve Lacy, Tame Impala, Ariana Grande, Malcolm Todd, and Ella Langley, sit clustered at similar levels, driven by comparable streaming trajectories, playlist rotation, and social buzz. Key swing factors include midweek velocity shifts, cross-platform promotion, and competition from other high-profile drops, with final positions likely determined by last-minute listener surges ahead of chart lock.
