Incumbent Republican Juan Ciscomani faces Democratic challenger JoAnna Mendoza in Arizona’s 6th Congressional District, a highly competitive seat with an even partisan voting index where recent presidential results were decided by less than one point. Multiple polls since March 2026, including surveys from both parties, have shown Mendoza holding narrow leads of one to three points, reflecting stronger name recognition, fundraising advantages, and voter sentiment in the district’s mix of suburban and rural areas. Primaries concluded in July with both candidates advancing unopposed, clearing the path for a general election contest on November 3. Broader midterm dynamics, where the party out of power has historically gained ground, further support trader consensus favoring a Democratic outcome in this toss-up race.
