Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance for Austin on September 12 projects a daily maximum near 100°F under mostly sunny skies with southerly flow and limited cloud cover, supporting the market's leading 100-101°F outcome at 49.5% implied probability. Persistent late-summer heat, with recent days reaching 97-101°F and heat indices above 105°F, aligns with climatological norms for early September while staying well below the 102°F historical record. Low precipitation chances and stable high pressure limit cooling from afternoon convection, though minor model spread in boundary-layer moisture could nudge readings into the 98-103°F range. Updated NWS forecasts and afternoon observations on September 11 will provide the final confirmation ahead of market resolution.
