Latest National Weather Service and model guidance point to a Seattle high temperature of 66–68°F on September 21, driven by a strengthening marine layer that increases afternoon cloud cover and caps solar heating. Light northwesterly winds and dew points near 52–55°F limit surface warming, while the seasonal decline in insolation keeps values below late-summer peaks. Ensemble spreads remain narrow because steering patterns and sea-surface temperatures show little day-to-day variability. Traders assign the highest implied probabilities to the 66–67°F and 68–69°F bins precisely because official forecasts cluster there, with resolution hinging on whether midday clearing allows a brief push into the upper 60s or persistent stratus holds readings lower.
