Official National Weather Service forecasts project a Saturday high near 95°F for Atlanta under continued unseasonably warm conditions, with dewpoints rising into the upper 60s to low 70s and moderate instability supporting afternoon showers or thunderstorms. These convective developments, driven by increasing moisture from a weakening ridge and a backdoor front, represent the key uncertainty: early or widespread storms could suppress peak temperatures into the low-to-mid 90s, while delayed or isolated activity would allow readings to reach the mid-90s. Model consensus and recent observed highs in the 93–96°F range underpin the tight market split between 92–93°F and 94–95°F bins, with traders weighing thunderstorm timing against climatological norms well above the 82.5°F September average. Updated NWS guidance and afternoon radar trends will provide the next resolution signals.
