Pre-race trader sentiment favored Russell and championship leader Kimi Antonelli for strong results, but Hamilton benefited from Ferrari's competitive pace on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya layout while Antonelli retired late from a podium-contending position. Norris capitalized on McLaren's consistent form to claim third, reflecting the tight battle among top constructors. Recent practice and qualifying sessions highlighted Mercedes and Ferrari's edge in sector times, with Hamilton converting pole-adjacent pace into a commanding drive that shifted implied probabilities for podium outcomes in the final sessions.
