Recent forecasts from multiple models indicate a cold front will bring persistent cloud cover, southerly winds, and widespread rain to São Paulo on September 23, sharply limiting daytime heating after warmer conditions earlier in the week. Official guidance points to a maximum near 15–16 °C under these stable, moist conditions, consistent with the market’s heaviest volume on 16–18 °C outcomes. Historical September averages near 24 °C highlight the anomaly, while model consensus on the front’s timing and strength leaves little room for a warmer spike above 19 °C. Updated runs from agencies such as the National Meteorological Institute and regional ensembles will be the next key data points before resolution.
