Trader consensus heavily favors the New York Yankees at 66.5% implied probability to win the 2026 AL East, driven by their superior roster depth, offensive firepower led by Aaron Judge, and a reliable pitching rotation despite trailing the surging Tampa Bay Rays (28-14 record) by two games in current division standings as of May 14. The Yankees (27-17) have maintained strong early-season form, including a split in their recent series against the Baltimore Orioles (20-24), where they snapped a brief skid with a 6-2 win before a 0-7 loss, underscoring their resilience amid a grueling schedule. Rays' hot streak reflects elite pitching and small-ball execution but faces regression risks per historical paces, while the Orioles (5.3%), Blue Jays (3.3%), and Red Sox (0.9%) languish below .500 with injury concerns and inconsistent lineups hindering contention.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the team whose listed nickname comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named the 2026 American League East division champion per the rules of the MLB (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”.
If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Major League Baseball (https://www.mlb.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
