If Anthropic and OpenAI’s combined valuation is equal to Google’s public market capitalization at resolution, this market will resolve to 50-50. Revisions to previously published NPM data made after their initial release will not be considered, unless made to correct clearly erroneous data.Google's market capitalization of approximately $4.6 trillion as of mid-May 2026 underpins the 72.5% market-implied probability that Alphabet will maintain a higher valuation than the combined OpenAI and Anthropic figures by year-end. Recent funding activity highlights the gap: OpenAI closed at an $852 billion post-money valuation in its March 2026 round while Anthropic advanced from $380 billion in February toward potential $900–950 billion levels in ongoing May talks, yet their aggregate remains well below $2 trillion even after secondary-market premiums near $1 trillion for Anthropic. Traders price in Alphabet's diversified revenue base, AI product momentum through Gemini, and steady public-market multiples against the startups' execution risks ahead of possible IPOs. Key catalysts include upcoming earnings releases and any finalization of late-2026 listings that could re-rate private valuations.
