Multiple tracks sit at even 50% implied probability for the #2 spot on Spotify’s weekly global chart ending August 21, underscoring a tight race driven by comparable daily streams and fan engagement. Steve Lacy’s “oh yeah?” and Tame Impala’s “Loser” hold the strongest recent momentum after climbing the U.S. daily chart in mid-August, fueled by viral playlist placement and sync exposure, while Malcolm Todd’s “Earrings” and BTS’s “SWIM” benefit from sustained catalog strength. Ariana Grande’s dual entries and Shakira-Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai” add further fragmentation, with no single release dominating algorithmic or organic spikes. The August 21 cutoff leaves room for last-minute streaming surges from new promotions or social trends to shift final rankings.
