The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve's tight chicanes and the high-speed approach to the Wall of Champions create frequent contact risks, especially under 2026's revised ground-effect regulations that emphasize lighter cars and altered downforce. Historical patterns show safety cars deployed in most editions due to debris, spins, or barriers, with recent races confirming this trend through multiple incidents per event. Traders price the 68% implied probability for deployment around these track-specific dynamics, alongside variable Montreal weather and the new Mercedes safety car protocol, rather than any single team's recent form or roster changes.
