The French wild card, ranked outside the top 500, benefits from home-soil familiarity on the slow red clay and a prior 2-0 head-to-head edge from their 2024 encounter. Granwehr, the higher-ranked Swiss player near No. 350, arrives after reaching the quarterfinals at the W35 Nice on clay with victories over established ITF opponents, though she has shown inconsistency in longer three-set matches. Both competitors are coming off short turnarounds on the European clay swing, where serve consistency and baseline endurance typically decide outcomes at this level.
