This market will resolve according to the player who records the highest batting average among qualified players during the 2026 Major League Baseball regular season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official leader as determined by the rules of the MLB. If multiple leaders are announced then this market will resolve to the player that records more hits during the 2026 MLB regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player that records more doubles during the 2026 MLB regular season. If a tie still persists, then this market will resolve in favor of the player that records more home runs during the 2026 MLB regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 15, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no official leader declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from MLB; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Yordan Alvarez holds the top spot in the 2026 batting average race at roughly .322–.325 through mid-August, fueled by consistent contact and power that has kept his average elevated despite a higher strikeout rate than pure hitters. Luis Arraez trails closely behind at .313–.316, drawing on his established track record of high-contact seasons and low strikeouts that sustain his average even as playing time fluctuates across teams. Otto Lopez sits third near .314–.318 on strong recent form with the Marlins, while a cluster of other qualifiers including Yandy Díaz and Chandler Simpson remain within striking distance. The tight implied probabilities reflect the remaining six-plus weeks of the schedule, where small differences in at-bats, hot streaks, and matchup results can still shift the final leader amid typical late-season variance in batting outcomes.
