Cleveland Guardians enter the three-game series at Comerica Park holding a slim lead in the AL Central with a 24-21 record, while the Detroit Tigers sit at 19-25 and fourth in the division. Both clubs face pitching depth concerns, as Cleveland placed reliever Shawn Armstrong on the 15-day injured list with a groin strain and shortstop Gabriel Arias remains day-to-day with a hamstring issue, and Detroit deals with starter Ty Madden’s day-to-day arm injury plus Casey Mize on the injured list. Recent form favors the Guardians’ steadier lineup production and road performance, though the Tigers benefit from home-field familiarity and any late bullpen stability in this divisional matchup.
