The White Sox enter with improved pitching depth, highlighted by probable starter Martin’s strong 5-1 record and sub-2.00 ERA, though outfield injuries to Austin Hays (calf) and Kyle Teel (hamstring) plus Andrew Benintendi’s day-to-day neck issue could limit lineup flexibility. The Giants, playing at home with a middling 18-26 mark, have leaned on recent series results against the Athletics while managing their own bullpen depth and offensive inconsistencies. Schedule factors such as the Giants’ home-field familiarity and the White Sox’s road performance will shape the matchup alongside late-May weather conditions at the waterfront venue.
