The New York Mets enter their mid-June series against the Cincinnati Reds hampered by multiple injuries, including Francisco Lindor’s calf strain, Francisco Alvarez’s recent meniscus recovery, Kodai Senga’s arm and spine issues, and additional absences for Jorge Polanco and Tyrone Taylor. These roster gaps have contributed to the Mets’ sub-.500 record and inconsistent offense and rotation. The Reds, sitting slightly above .500 in the NL Central, feature stronger recent pitching depth highlighted by Chase Burns and maintain better overall form. Home/road splits, bullpen reliability, and the Mets’ need to manage remaining starters will shape outcomes in these interleague matchups.
