Recent reports from UFC president Dana White and insider accounts indicate Conor McGregor's long-awaited octagon return is targeted for UFC 329 on July 11, with a rematch against Max Holloway emerging as the frontrunner. Holloway, the former featherweight champion, has publicly expressed interest in avenging their 2013 loss while maintaining strong recent form, aligning with McGregor's stated preference for a high-profile opponent after five years away. This development has driven the market's heavy consensus toward Holloway. Alternative names such as Jorge Masvidal and Michael Chandler remain in play as stylistic or legacy matchups if negotiations shift, though they lack comparable momentum in current reporting. Ian Garry and Nate Diaz represent longer-shot options tied to division rankings or past rivalries, respectively, but face greater barriers given the timeline and promotional focus.
