If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is cancelled, postponed after June 29, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the listed player cannot be confirmed as a part of Japan's official 1st match starting lineup for the 2026 FIFA World Cup within that timeframe, the corresponding market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market will be information from FIFA (https://www.fifa.com/), however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.Japan enters the 2026 World Cup with a deep, Europe-heavy squad under coach Hajime Moriyasu, though key injuries have reshaped selection dynamics. Kaoru Mitoma and Takumi Minamino are sidelined, while captain Wataru Endo withdrew days before the opener due to lingering foot issues, elevating Ko Itakura to the armband and boosting Kaishu Sano’s midfield role. Probable starters feature Takefusa Kubo and Ritsu Doan in attack, Ayase Ueda up top, and strong options at fullback and center-back from clubs like Ajax and Bayern. Japan opens Group F against the Netherlands on June 14, where recent form, tactical flexibility, and squad rotation will determine the confirmed starting XI amid high competition for places.
