Bonzi enters as the clear favorite in this Nottingham 2 Challenger first-round grass-court match, reflecting his higher ranking (No. 99 vs. Barrios Vera’s No. 138) and stronger recent results on the surface. The Frenchman advanced through qualifying at the preceding ‘s-Hertogenbosch ATP event, securing wins on grass before falling to top competition, while Barrios Vera has compiled a mixed 2026 record primarily on clay with limited recent grass exposure. No meaningful head-to-head exists on this surface, amplifying the impact of current form and surface adaptation. Traders price Bonzi’s edge through consistent hard-court and grass momentum alongside Barrios Vera’s recent losses in European clay events, though the Chilean’s height and baseline power create realistic upset potential in best-of-three sets.
