Andrey Chepelev enters this ITF M25 Kiseljak second-round clay-court match as the clear favorite, holding an ATP ranking near 416 with a career high of 339 and prior experience at higher levels. The 27-year-old Russian arrives after a straight-sets first-round win and has shown consistent results on clay throughout 2026. Massimo Pizzigoni, a 19-year-old Italian qualifier ranked well outside the top 1000 with limited professional mileage, advanced via his opening match but faces a significant step up in competition. Age, ranking differential, and Chepelev’s superior recent form on the surface represent the primary drivers of trader consensus, though Pizzigoni’s youth and potential for improvement on clay could produce competitive sets if he maintains first-serve percentages and minimizes unforced errors.
