The St. Louis Cardinals hold a clear edge in this I-70 Show-Me Series matchup with the Kansas City Royals, entering at 26-18 and third in the NL Central while the Royals sit at 19-26 and fifth in the AL Central. The Cardinals' recent walk-off victory in extra innings on May 15 highlighted their offensive depth and bullpen resilience at Busch Stadium, where home-field familiarity and strong recent form have fueled momentum. Kansas City, meanwhile, looks to halt a skid with improved starting pitching and key contributions from players like Bobby Witt Jr., though the team faces added pressure from Jonathan India's season-ending shoulder injury. Head-to-head trends and divisional positioning further tilt sentiment toward St. Louis in this interleague rivalry contest.
