Belgium enters the 2026 FIFA World Cup as the clear Group G frontrunner, with traders assigning it a 69.5% implied probability of topping the quartet based on its ninth-place FIFA ranking, deeper squad experience, and established European pedigree compared with Egypt (29th), Iran (21st), and New Zealand. Recent preparations highlight Belgium’s arrival in Seattle ahead of its June 15 opener against Egypt, where midfield control from players such as Kevin De Bruyne and goalkeeping stability from Thibaut Courtois provide a consistent edge. Egypt’s 16.5% chance rests primarily on Mohamed Salah’s individual quality and recent AFCON pedigree, while Iran’s 12.3% reflects solid organization but limited attacking depth. New Zealand’s 3.5% position aligns with its lower ranking and historical results against stronger opposition. The group stage opens June 15 across Seattle, Los Angeles, and Vancouver venues, with outcomes driven by form, fitness, and head-to-head matchups in the coming fortnight.
