Multiple major releases and sustained chart momentum have created a tight race for the Billboard Hot 100 summit the week of August 15. Ariana Grande’s Petal album, which dropped July 31, has flooded streaming platforms with multiple tracks like “Petal” and “hate that i made you love me” occupying high positions on Apple Music and Spotify, while Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” extends its dominant run with double-digit weeks at or near the top, supported by country radio and sales. Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You,” Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drop Dead,” Stella Lefty’s rising “Boston,” and Morgan Wallen-linked cuts add further pressure through consistent airplay and fan-driven consumption. Traders see the outcome hinging on final streaming deltas and any late promotional spikes before the tracking window closes.
