This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the nomination for the Democratic Party to contest the GA-13 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The Democratic primary will take place on May 19, 2026. If no nominee is announced by November 3, 2026, 11:59PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official Democrat sources, including https://democrats.org/. Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market.Jasmine Clark’s established record as a Georgia state representative, combined with her strong early polling lead and substantial fundraising, has driven trader consensus toward her dominance in the Democratic primary for Georgia’s 13th Congressional District. The April death of longtime incumbent David Scott opened the seat for the first time since 2002, shifting dynamics and allowing Clark—who had already positioned herself as a top challenger—to consolidate support through endorsements from science advocacy groups and a major ad campaign launched in early May. With early voting underway ahead of the May 19 contest, other candidates such as state Sen. Emanuel Jones and educator Everton Blair Jr. trail notably in visibility and external backing. While the race could still shift due to low turnout or late developments, Clark’s structural advantages create significant barriers for challengers.
