Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is initially published for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Hong Kong’s peak temperature on June 19 will hinge on the strength of southwesterly monsoon flow and the timing of showers or thunderstorms, which can suppress afternoon heating through increased cloud cover and evaporative cooling. The Hong Kong Observatory’s current guidance points to a 27–31°C range under mainly cloudy skies with a moderate southerly airstream, while the broader June–August seasonal outlook from the same agency favors above-normal temperatures amid ongoing regional warming trends. Traders appear to weigh these factors evenly between 30°C and 31°C outcomes, recognizing that even modest shifts in convective initiation or boundary-layer moisture could tip the daily maximum by 1°C in either direction before the period closes.
