This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team finishes 3rd in the final standings of the 2026-27 Ligue 2 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by Ligue 2 as finishing in third place. If multiple teams are officially awarded third place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 3rd in the 2026-27 Ligue 2 season, the market will resolve to "No". If the 2026-27 Ligue 2 season is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 3rd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be official information from Ligue 2. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The early stages of the 2026-27 Ligue 2 campaign feature striking parity across the table, with Saint-Étienne leading on 16 points after seven matches but Red Star, Reims, and Montpellier clustered immediately behind on 12-14 points and another group including Metz, Nancy, Annecy, and Sochaux level on 10. Relegated sides Nantes and Metz possess greater squad resources and coaching experience yet have posted mixed results while adjusting to the division, while promoted clubs Dijon and Sochaux have shown enough early consistency to stay in touch. With more than 30 fixtures remaining, modest swings in form, home/away splits, or injury situations can rapidly reorder the standings around the promotion playoff threshold, leaving traders to price a wide field of realistic contenders for exactly third place at comparable implied probabilities.
