This market will resolve to "Yes" if Valve releases an operation to CS2 by the listed date (ET). Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". For the purpose of this market, "Valve" refers to Valve Corporation, the developer and publisher of the Counter-Strike series. For the purpose of this market, a "CS2 operation" refers to a major, time-limited content update officially released by Valve for Counter-Strike 2, which may include: -A purchasable Operation Pass (or equivalent) with an upgradable coin, enhanced missions, and exclusive rewards. -A campaign of missions (e.g., weekly or star-based progression) in official matchmaking. -Exclusive new cosmetics (e.g., weapon collections, skins, agents, stickers) primarily tied to the operation. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Valve; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Valve's pattern of delivering incremental patches, map pool tweaks, and Armory Pass content rather than full operations continues to shape trader consensus around low implied probabilities for a near-term release. CS2's three-year absence of a major operation—unlike CS:GO's regular drops featuring new maps, agents, missions, and cases—reflects Valve's prioritization of anti-cheat improvements and infrastructure over expansive seasonal content. Recent datamined mission systems and code references hint at groundwork, yet no official branding or rollout has materialized by mid-August 2026. Upcoming factors include any sudden Valve announcement or qualifying content drop before deadlines like August 31, which would need to match historical operation scope to shift market pricing; otherwise, the competitive esports calendar's focus on Majors leaves operations on the back burner.
