Valve added a fully reworked Cache to CS2's Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch, and Retakes modes in late April 2026, marking the map's first official return since its 2019 removal from the Active Duty pool. The update followed Valve's acquisition of map rights and community teases, yet Cache has not entered Premier or pro rotation, where pool changes typically occur after Majors or new seasons. Trader focus centers on timing for the next rotation, potential map swaps such as Inferno, and ongoing balance feedback that could accelerate or delay inclusion in the seven-map Active Duty lineup.
