Alexia Lavinia Puiac enters the W15 Madrid clay-court encounter as the higher-ranked player with a stronger recent ITF record, including a straight-sets victory in her prior outing and a top-10 junior-level standing that reflects consistent form on the circuit. Carmen Gallardo Guevara, competing on home soil in Spain, brings solid college experience from Purdue and a WTA ranking near 857, though her results at this level have been mixed. The clay surface favors baseline rallies and movement, where both players have varying experience, while travel and schedule factors remain minimal for the local entrant. No major injuries or withdrawals have been reported, keeping focus on current form and head-to-head trends in this early-round matchup.
