Jeline Vandromme enters this Roland Garros qualifying clash against Aoi Ito holding a clear edge in current form and ranking, sitting near No. 179 after a strong 2026 campaign that includes a 29-9 record and continued success following her US Open junior title. The 18-year-old Belgian has shown comfort on clay surfaces in recent ITF events, while the 21-year-old Japanese player, ranked around No. 232 with a career-high of No. 82, has posted a mixed 6-9 mark this season and struggled to maintain momentum after earlier breakthroughs. No prior head-to-head exists, but Vandromme’s higher ranking and youth-driven consistency position her as the stronger prospect on the slow red clay of Paris qualifying, where experience in extended rallies and movement could prove decisive.
