Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Atlanta on September 11 indicate a mostly sunny morning with highs potentially reaching the lower 90s before afternoon showers and thunderstorms develop, introducing uncertainty in the daily maximum. Southwest flow and increasing atmospheric instability favor convective development that could reduce solar heating and cap temperatures in the mid-to-upper 80s if storms initiate earlier, or allow peaks near 92°F if activity holds off until late afternoon. This variability explains the market's tight clustering around 86–91°F bins. Historical September highs average near 84°F, but recent hot, dry conditions have elevated baselines, with traders weighing model consensus on timing and intensity ahead of final NWS updates.
