This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Buckley Space Force Base Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 30 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=kbkf This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Trader sentiment for Denver’s lowest temperature on August 30, 2026, centers on the 60–67°F range, with the top outcomes (64–65°F at 36.5%, 66–67°F at 34.0%, and 60–61°F at 31.5%) reflecting tight clustering around official forecast guidance.** Current National Weather Service and private model consensus points to an overnight minimum in the upper 50s to mid-60s, driven by lingering cloud cover, elevated dew points near 50–55°F, and light winds that limit radiative cooling at Denver’s high elevation (~5,280 ft). Late-summer conditions, including a weak disturbance supporting scattered afternoon/evening thunderstorms on the 30th, help trap heat overnight and prevent sharper drops typical of clear, dry nights. **Scientific factors differentiating these closely matched bins include small uncertainties in cloud timing, boundary-layer moisture, and model spread on minimum temperatures.** Greater cloud persistence or higher dew points would favor the lower 60s by enhancing downward longwave radiation, while clearer skies or drier air could allow more cooling toward 60°F or below. Historical August 30 averages (high ~85°F, low ~55°F) provide context, but the current pattern—mild advection and no strong cold front—supports the market’s narrow distribution. The next NWS forecast updates and evening model runs will likely refine these probabilities as the overnight period approaches.
