Recent AtlasIntel and other mid-2026 polling shows incumbent Styvenson Valentim (Podemos) holding a narrow lead in first-round vote intention for one of Rio Grande do Norte’s two Senate seats, followed closely by Samanda Alves (PT), Coronel Hélio (PL), and Rafael Motta (PDT) in technical ties within the margin of error. Zenaide Maia (PSD) and a long list of lower-polling candidates further fragment the field. Party conventions in July and endorsements from national figures have clarified tickets but not produced decisive separation. High undecided shares and the two-seat, multi-candidate structure keep probabilities fluid, with any late surge in turnout, alliance shifts, or negative campaigning among the top contenders likely to reorder the 1st-place outcome before October voting.
