Thailand's Constitutional Court accepted a petition in March 2026 challenging the validity of the February 8 general election ballots over concerns that barcodes and QR codes compromised voter secrecy, voting 6-3 to proceed. However, as of early May, the case remains pending with no invalidation ruling; the court ordered expert opinions by late April and continues awaiting documents and further study, signaling a deliberate procedural pace. Traders' 92.5% consensus on "No" reflects the new parliament's opening, functioning government under Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's Bhumjaithai-led coalition, and historical reluctance to void national elections absent overwhelming evidence, though a substantive hearing could shift odds amid Thailand's interventionist judicial precedents.
