Mo Ivory secured the Democratic nomination for Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairperson after defeating longtime incumbent Robb Pitts by a wide margin in the June 2026 primary runoff. Fulton County’s strong Democratic lean positions her as the clear frontrunner against Republican nominee Eric Tatum in the November general election. Key drivers include high-profile endorsements such as Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, voter focus on local priorities like public safety, jail operations, court funding, and election integrity, and Ivory’s prior service on the commission. Trader consensus reflects these structural advantages in a county where Democratic nominees have historically prevailed by large margins. Potential shifts could arise from unusually low turnout, verified campaign finance issues, or late developments altering voter sentiment before November 3.
