The 2026-27 Scottish Premiership runner-up market sits tightly bunched with implied probabilities clustered near 50% across most sides because the early-season table shows no dominant challenger behind Celtic. Rangers have climbed to second on the back of a strong run under Derek McInnes and recent Old Firm success, yet defensive improvements and fixture congestion from European ties leave their consistency unproven. Heart of Midlothian, who finished second in 2025-26, lost key personnel and must integrate a large incoming squad while managing their own continental schedule. Mid-table clubs such as Dundee, St Mirren, and Aberdeen have posted competitive results in the opening weeks, and promoted St Johnstone add further depth to the pack. With 31 rounds remaining and multiple teams boasting similar squad depth and home/away records, trader consensus reflects genuine uncertainty over which side will sustain the form needed to claim second place.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Scottish Premiership for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Scottish Premiership (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Scottish Premiership; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
