**Choosin’ Texas by Ella Langley** stands as the clear frontrunner in the 2026 CMA Song of the Year market, driven by its record-breaking commercial dominance. The track has logged over 20 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100—the longest run for a non-holiday song in years—while claiming Songs of the Summer honors and historic marks on Hot Country Songs. Its September 10 nomination announcement highlighted Langley’s nine total nods, including two Song of the Year entries, underscoring strong industry momentum from critical acclaim, streaming volume, and radio airplay. Other nominees such as Be Her, Dry Spell, Beautiful Things, and Gary trail significantly, reflecting the market’s assessment that the song’s sustained cultural and chart impact outweighs typical voting unpredictability in the category ahead of the November ceremony.
