The Odyssey leads trader sentiment for the 2027 Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar at 34% implied probability due to its strong summer release, 96% Rotten Tomatoes score, and widespread Academy screenings generating early momentum behind Christopher Nolan’s ambitious take on Homer’s epic. Project Hail Mary (22%) follows closely on the strength of its timely Andy Weir adaptation, Ryan Gosling’s lead performance, and Lord-Miller direction, while The Adventures of Cliff Booth (22.5%) and other announced contenders such as Dune: Part Three benefit from high-profile source material and talent. With most named titles clustered between 16–30% and dozens of unannounced projects at 50%, the market reflects a wide-open field typical of late-summer 2026, where guild nominations, critical consensus, and late-year releases will determine which adaptations gain decisive traction ahead of the ceremony.
