Recent data from sources like Zillow and Redfin show New York City home values holding steady near $830,000–$885,000 through July 2026, with year-over-year gains of 1–4% amid persistently elevated mortgage rates near 6%. Limited inventory and resilient Northeast demand have supported prices despite slower sales volumes and higher days on market. Trader consensus on the $636K–$663K range reflects expectations of continued modest appreciation through September, consistent with 2026 forecasts projecting 1–3% national growth and stable local fundamentals. Key near-term catalysts include August economic releases on inflation and employment that could influence borrowing costs and buyer sentiment.
